Membership Committee
The mission of the Membership Committee is to promote, increase and retain FVA membership. The committee has a membership drive each fall, maintains a membership data base, and surveys the membership for interests, needs, and strengths.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is responsible for preparing the annual budget, arranging for a yearly audit of the books and records, making fiscal recommendations to the board, and investigating avenues for fundraising.
Governance Committee
The Governance Committee is responsible for recruiting and orienting board members, establishing norms for processes that affect the succession of officers and committee chairs, and reviewing progress on the strategic plan.

Professional Volunteer Management Series Committee
The Professional Development Committees have the responsibility of assuring that the FVA membership has access to programs, events and services which will enhance their skills as managers of volunteers. They plan, advertise and deliver workshops; professional volunteer mangement training programs and a yearly annual conference.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee supports the Board and Committees to increase the visibility of FVA and to enhance and strengthen the FVA image by providing a complete and consistent message (via electronic and print communications) to the public and FVA members. In addition, the Committee oversees the Volunteer Manager of the Year Award.
