Welcome

To the Forum for Volunteer Administrators!  The FVA is dedicated to the continuous professional development and support of Volunteer Administrators throughout Northeast Ohio.   Professional development opportunities in our line of work is hard to come by. That’s where FVA comes in. We work with our members and peers to keep buiding our collective knowledge.

Mission
The mission of the Forum for Volunteer Administrators (FVA)is to provide mutual support, continuous dialogue and professional development opportunities for those involved in the leadership and management of volunteers.

History
The Forum for Volunteer Administrators began as an association of Greater Cleveland volunteer directors in the 1940's.  Through the years, the FVA has been affiliated with several area organizations, including the United Way and the Business Volunteerism Council (now Business Volunteers Unlimited).  In 1994, FVA incorporated as an independent not-for-profit organization in order to better serve the growing profession of volunteer administration.  It has continued service in this way and was granted 501(c)(3) status by the federal government in 2002.

The Forum for Volunteer Administrators is pleased to announce the winner of the 2009 Volunteer Administrator of the Year award. Congratulations...
