Hands On Northeast Ohio, Your Hands On Network Volunteer Center
Founded in 2007, Hands On Northeast Ohio (Hands On NEO) is the official Cuyahoga County Volunteer Center affiliate of the Hands On Network (formerly Hands On Network and Points of Light Foundation). Hands On NEO is dedicated to linking people with opportunities to volunteer, developing their leadership skills, and engaging people in their community while supporting community-based organizations in order to address social, economic or environmental needs in the community.
Business Volunteers Unlimited Offers Online Volunteer Center
The Volunteer Center at Business Volunteers Unlimited (BVU) is answering the call to service through a new online volunteer solution. The new system provides an improved experience for both nonprofits and volunteers, including:
- ease of use
- comprehensive search criteria
- event calendar for date-specific opportunities
- news items and nonprofit spotlights
- detailed nonprofit and mission information, including directions and agency logo
Activated on April 1, 2009, the volunteer center connects both nonprofits and volunteers. Register your organization and post your opportunities at www.businessvolunteers.org/bepartofthechange.html. The Volunteer Center at BVU is funded by the United Way of Greater Cleveland and is offered without charge to nonprofits and the community.
