Director of Volunteers Specific Duties and Responsibilities
The Director of Volunteers is responsible for promoting NCJW,CS through social and professional networking resources to recruit new members and volunteers for the Section. The Director of Volunteers oversees the recruitment, interviewing, and scheduling of volunteers.  This position reports to the Executive Director and works in partnership with the President and Vice Presidents to provide support and coordination of those areas that are within her/his scope – membership, community services, awards committee and program survey.  Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the goals of the President and Executive Director. Assist in creating opportunities where VP’s, and co-chairs work together to cross promote the mission of NCJW,CS and to better understand department objectives. Provides administrative support to the Community Service Committee, Awards Committee, Membership Committee, Advocacy and Program Survey Committee.  Assist in collecting information for grants and award nominations. Cull lists for potential new members and promote membership at the Major Meetings, Section and community events, and in the retail department. Volunteer Recruitment: Conduct interviews of new members and assists with training, transitioning, mentoring and redirection of volunteers. Leadership:  Assistance with planning, developing, maintaining and administrating services for special projects and new programs.  Support the President and Vice Presidents in identifying chairs for community service projects. Serve as a liaison to temple religious schools, youth groups. Analyze existing programs for volunteer growth and service impact. Create surveys and end of year reports. Contribute to the quarterly newsletter, “ Bulletin”. Seek new partners for projects, suggest new pilot projects and identify community resources.  Maintain good relations with community partners and media contacts.  Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and President.
