Based on member feedback, the Professional Resources Committee has prepared a menu of exciting workshops and informal Coffee Conversations to facilitate ongoing dialogue and training in the New Year. Workshops are $25 for members and $40 for non-members. Coffee Conversations* are FREE!

Coffee Conversations: Recognition Ideas for National Volunteer Appreciation Week (April)

Workshop: Rethinking Recruitment – Engaging clients, skill-based professionals, and donors (board development, connecting donors to hands-on service, skill-based administrative projects, cultivating civic leaders among your clientele, etc.)

Workshop: Dealing with Difficult Volunteers & Situations – The Sequel (tackling the situation, not the individual; interview/communication techniques; volunteer performance evals; case studies of difficult ethical, attitudinal, and performance-based situations and solutions)

Workshop: Beyond the Numbers – Maximizing Volunteers & Demonstrating Program Value (obtaining volunteer feedback, volunteer focus groups; quantifying the value of the volunteer program / ROI; cultivating volunteers as donors or ambassadors)
