Presenter: Amy Sabath

Amy Sabath serves as the Director for Government Affairs, Director for the Non-Profit & Public Service Center and Executive Assistant to the President at Lakeland Community College located in Kirtland, Ohio.  She has been with Lakeland since February of 2017.  Prior to joining Lakeland, Amy worked for The Fine Arts Association. as the Director of Development. Along with her responsibilities as a Director, she was responsible for raising $3.5 million for their expansion and renovation capital campaign. Amy was President of Sabath Consulting for nearly twenty years focusing on political fundraising, strategy, campaign management and nonprofit fundraising. Some of her past clients have included: Attorney General Mike DeWine, Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor, Congressman Jim Renacci, Congressman Steven LaTourette, Congressman Paul Ryan, Governor Mitt Romney Delegate Committee, Justice Sharon Kennedy, State Senator Matt Dolan and Commissioner Jerry Cirino. A few past non-profits have included Hands Together, Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education, and Shoulder to Shoulder.

Throughout her career, Amy has always found time to share her knowledge and experience by instructing and lecturing at regional campaign schools, community organizations and classes.  She serves on the Non-Profit Board of Directors of the Lake County Visitors Bureau (Board President), the Salvation Army (Painesville Citadel), Lake/Geauga Habitat for Humanity, Dare 2 Care, and the Advisory Board of Birthright Lake, Inc.  Amy is also a Willoughby Rotarian and a member of the Western Reserve Junior Service League. She is active at St. Gabriel Parish as a past Council member and currently serves as a Eucharistic Minister. Amy is also an instructor for the Lifeworks Ohio’s Choose Life Program for middle school students. 

Amy was the Recipient of the Millie Teuscher “Woman of the Year” Award in 2014 for serving the citizens of Lake County and making an impact on the quality of Life in Lake County.

Amy is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Lake County and a 2010 graduate of the JoAnn Davidson Ohio Leadership Institute. She holds a BS in Communications and Media Production and a minor in journalism from Kent State University.

While Amy enjoys work and public service, her world revolves around her five-year-old daughter, Stella, who is the light of her life
