Join an FVA team ...

Membership - The mission of the Membership is to promote, increase and retain FVA membership. The committee has a membership drive each fall, maintains a membership data base, and surveys the membership for interests, needs, and strengths.

Finance  - Finance is responsible for maintaining the budget, issuing monthly status reports, assuring the records are audited yearly and investigating avenues for fund-raising.

Governance -Governance is responsible for recruiting and orienting board members, establishing norms for processes that affect the succession of officers and committee chairs, and reviewing progress on the strategic plan.

Professional Resources -Professional Resources has the responsibility of assuring that the FVA membership has access to programs, events and services which will enhance their skills as managers of volunteers.

Conference - Assist with planning our popular annual conference held each November.

Communications  - Communications supports the Board and Committees to increase the visibility of FVA and to enhance and strengthen the FVA image by providing a complete and consistent message (via electronic and print communications) to the public and FVA members. In addition, the Committee oversees the Volunteer Manager of the Year Award.

Development - Development creates and oversees the implementation of fund-raising strategies to ensure volunteer managers in our region always have access to professional development opportunities. The committee works to establish funds to support and promote educational workshops, FVA's flagship event the Annual Conference, and the Volunteer Administrator of Year Award.
